Crisps
are my go to dessert. You can whip one up in a jiff and they always taste
great.
I
love that you can use any fruit you like, blueberries, apples, rhubarb, pears, saskatoon’s
or peaches.
I
even love mixing fruits together; rhubarb strawberry is one of my favs!
What
you need,
3
large ripe peaches, washed and sliced
1
heaping tbsp. all-purpose flour
1
tbsp. granulated sugar, more if your peaches aren’t too sweet
Pinch
of cinnamon
In
a bowl stir the peaches with the flour, sugar and cinnamon.
Divide
the peaches evenly between 4 small ramekins.
For
the topping,
¼
cup butter, softened
2
tbsp. all-purpose flour
3
tbsp. brown sugar
¾
-1 cup oats
Heat
the oven to 350 degrees.
In
a large bowl combine the butter, sugar and flour.
Using
a fork stir the oats into the butter mixture. Use as many oats as you need to
get a crumbly texture.
Top
each ramekin with as much topping as you can cram on!
Place
the filled ramekins on a baking sheet and bake for 25-35 minutes until the
filling is bubbly and the topping is brown and crisp.
Serve
with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Crisps
are a rustic family style dessert, but when you bake them individually they look really
cute, perfect for a dinner party!
Jen
I like the idea of the individual servings!
