Friday Favourites - Christmas Songs

I can’t believe we are only 11 sleeps away from the big day!
I am totally in holiday mode, the decorations are up, the baking is done, and the Carols are playing on all day loop!

I thought I would share my top 10 favourite Christmas Songs.
I tend to go a bit old school with my carols, I like the classics.

10. Winter Wonderland by Frank Sinatra
A perfect classic.

9. I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas by Gayla Peevey

This song is so fun; I just can’t help but sing it at the top of my lungs!

8. Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas by Michael Buble
This album is amazing! You must get it, like now!

7. You’re a Mean One Mr. Grinch from the classic movie
It really isn’t Christmas without this song; it is my all-time favourite holiday movie!

6. Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer by Burl Ives
I remember singing this one in the gym at my elementary school; we always added lyrics such as “like a light bulb!”

5. It’s beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas by Dean Martin
I always picture New York when I hear this song, I really want to go some year for Christmas, I hear it is beautiful.

4. White Christmas by Bing Crosby
This song always makes me wish it would snow!

3. The Christmas Song by Nat King Cole
This song gets me every time, I almost always tear up, I love it!

2. A Christmas to Remember by Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton
I think we wore this record out as kids; this song makes me miss home!

1. Baby its Cold Outside by Johnny Mercer and Margret Whiting
What can I say, this song is the best! I especially love this version!
Makes me happy.

What are your favourite songs?

Happy Friday!

  1. Kinda surprised to not see frisy the snowman by leon redding(is that right). I think the only reason is cause that was one dad always loved when we were growing up!! Oh how I yearn for christmas like the old days. Why do we have to get old and have life be so real!!! Nope I think it was redbone, not redding. Do you remember.
