Sautéed Kale

My in house taste tester thinks he doesn’t like kale, silly boy! I decided to make some for dinner the other night and force him to eat some, that way he would realize that he does indeed like kale!

This is a super simple and very tasty way to prepare kale. The little bit of garlic and red pepper flakes really give it a lot of flavour.

What you need,

1 bunch kale, washed and chopped
1 tbsp. olive oil
2 cloves of garlic, minced
¼ tsp. red pepper flakes
Salt and Pepper to taste

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium high heat.  Sauté the garlic and red pepper flakes for 1-2 minutes until softened and fragrant. Add in the chopped kale and sauté for 5-7 minutes until wilted and softened. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve right away.

After dinner, my in house taste tester agreed that it was pretty darned good. If you have a non-believer in your house, try making it this way, he/she will be converted, I promise!

  1. That looks super good. I find I prefer my kale with a crispy bite to it so I always end up putting it in the over and letting it crisp up...

  2. I will have to try this, I need more greens! What do you serve as a main with this? Pretty much any meat?

  3. It would be great with any meat dish I think! It was really great to take for lunches, it doesn't get soggy and it is super filling!
