Raspberry Frozen Yogurt

I have been obsessed with my ice cream maker since I got it! I adore it. I decided to try something other than ice cream this time. I made raspberry frozen yogurt.

It is so good. It has a smooth texture and a tart but refreshing flavour. It is almost healthy, since there isn’t a ton of heavy cream and eggs in it.
I can’t wait to try some other fruit flavors asap! I think blueberry or blackberry would be awesome.

Here is what you need,

2 cups Greek style yogurt
¾ cup sugar
2 cups fresh or frozen raspberries
1 tsp freshly squeezed lemon juice

In a blender puree all the ingredients together until smooth. Press the mixture through a fine mesh strainer to remove all the seeds.

Chill mixture for at least an hour until fully cold.
Process the frozen yogurt in your ice cream maker according to manufacturer’s instructions.

Yep, that is it… it is that easy, and it is wonderful! The perfect summer treat!

PS. If you get an ice cream maker I highly recommend this book! It is amazing. It has a ton of recipes for ice cream plus frozen yogurt and many others, including cool toppings and stuff!
