Peanut Butter Swirl Chocolate Chip Blondies

All you have to do is say peanut butter and chocolate in the same sentence and I am pretty much in.

When I saw these amazing looking Blondies on Bake at 350 I knew I had to make a batch ASAP.

These Blondies are in Averie Sunshine’s new book called Peanut Butter Comfort. I am going to Chapters right after work tomorrow to buy it.
If all the recipes are this good I am in big trouble!

What you need,

½ cup unsalted butter, melted (I used salted, it was fine!)
1 cup packed light brown sugar
1 egg
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup chocolate chips, divided
½ cup creamy peanut butter

Start by preheating your oven to 350 degrees. Line an 8x8 pan with foil and spray with non-stick spray, set aside.

In a large bowl stir together the butter and brown sugar until well combined. Mix in the egg and vanilla.  Stir in the flour until just combined.

Fold in ¾ cup chocolate chips. Pour the batter into the prepared pan, smooth the top with a spatula.

Melt the peanut butter in the microwave for 30-45 seconds until smooth.

Drizzle the melted peanut butter all over the top of the batter. Run a knife back and forth a few times to marble it.
Sprinkle the remaining ¼ cup of chocolate cups over the top.

Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges brown and pull away from the pan.  The peanut butter will still look wet, but it will set up as the Blondies cool.

Cool the bars completely on a rack before slicing.
Store in an airtight container for up to a week, good luck they will be gone in a day!

These Blondies are tender and moist, a little chewy and TO DIE FOR‼
Make them, eat them, and love them!
